As of January 2025, Politics of the Low Countries (PLC) is published here by Radboud University Press. We are currently accepting submissions from this website.

The archive of previous issues are available in Open Access in our section Archives.

Politics of the Low Countries (PLC) is a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on political developments in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The journal is co-owned by the Association belge francophone de science politique (ABSP) , Vereniging voor Politieke Wetenschappen (VPW), and the Nederlandse Kring voor de Wetenschap der Politiek (NKWP).

PLC publishes high-quality research across all subfields of political science, with a regional emphasis on the Low Countries. In addition to original research articles, PLC features special issues, research notes, literature reviews, and dedicated sections for PhD reviews and for opinion pieces on the political science profession (see Article types). PLC aims to advance understanding of Benelux politics and to contribute to both academic and societal debates.

Call for papers: Special issue "Reinventing Democracy in the Low Countries: Evidence, Insights, and Next Frontiers in Democratic Innovations Research"

PLC is very pleased to host a special issue on democratic innovations in the Low Countries guest edited by Emilien Paulis (University of Luxembourg), David Talukder (Namur University) and Take Sipma (Tilburg University). Abstracts must be submitted to the guest editors by October 31st.
